Identification required to apply for a card
The PASS scheme is the UK’s national guarantee for proof of age cards and delivers a common standard through its easily recognised logo, which is backed by a robust audit and accreditation process.
As the Glasgow Young Scot Card carries the PASS logo, it can be used to access age restricted goods and services. For this reason, we need to carefully verify the details on your application form before issuing the card.
If you attend a Glasgow City Council school we will be able to verify your address and date of birth via Education records. However, if you do not apply through a Glasgow City Council school you must apply in person.
When presenting at the Glasgow Library of your choice, you must have all of the following:
- Proof of address (driving licence or an official government agency or local government document, bill or bank statement sent to you in last 3 months).
- Proof of Date of Birth (Passport/other PASS card/Photo Driving License/IND Application Registration Card/Birth certificate).
- Photo verified (either by photo referee or Passport/other PASS card/Photo driving license/IND Application Registration Card).
If you are unable to supply any part of the above, or would like further advice, please contact us:
