One of the yearly highlights of the Celtic Connections’ closing weekend, the contest to decide the next winner of Radio Scotland’s Young Traditional Musician of the Year is your chance to see six talented stars-of-tomorrow in action. Long-recognised as a spring board to professional success, the competition is broadcast live on BBC Radio Scotland and organised by folk facilitators Hands Up For Trad. 




The 2018 finalists are:

Amy Papiransky – voice (Keith)
Hannah Rarity – voice (West Lothian)
Rory Matheson - piano (Sutherland)
Luc McNally – guitar / voice (Dipton)
Alexander Levack – whistles / pipes (Maryburgh)
