One of the yearly highlights of Celtic Connections, the contest to decide the next winner of BBC Radio Scotland’s Young Traditional Musician of the Year is your chance to see six talented stars-of-tomorrow in action.

Long-recognised as a spring board to professional success, the competition is broadcast live on BBC Radio Scotland and organised by folk facilitators Hands Up For Trad.

The 2019 finalists are:

Sarah Markey – flute (Coatbridge)
Benedict Morris – fiddle (Airdrie)
Catherine Tinney – Gaelic song (Skye)
Ross Miller – pipes (Linlithgow)
Luc McNally – guitar, voice (Dipton)
Cameron Ross – fiddle (Stonehaven)
