Given Breabach’s globe-trotting live schedule, their rate of recorded output is impressive in itself - its consistently standard-setting quality even more so. Inspired by recent travels, their sixth album, 2018’s Frenzy of the Meeting, once again expands their creative and sonic horizons, rooted both in Highland tradition and Glasgow’s innovative folk scene. Traditional and contemporary material features alongside original compositions from all five members, including songs in English and Gaelic, plus an instrumental armoury of twin Highland pipes, fiddle, whistles, flute, guitar, bouzouki, double bass and cajon. “Artfulness, ambition and imagination that set them decisively apart from the pack” (Scotsman)
A mainstay member of the Alan Kelly Gang, flautist Steph Geremia brings a wealth of musical scholarship to her love for Ireland’s North Connaught tradition, as displayed on her sparkling 2018 release Up She Flew. There are accessible toilets located to the right of the entrance to the auditorium on the ground floor and on the balcony adjacent to the Candleriggs Bar.

This venue does provide audio described performances.
There is a hearing assistance system. The hearing system is infrared. A deposit is required for the sound enhancement system.
