Originally staged as a “virtual tour” early in 2021, Breabach’s stunning multi-media creation Dùsgadh (awakening), a collaboration with Scottish BAFTA-winning animator Cat Bruce, was widely greeted as a triumph of lockdown artistry. For tonight’s live world premiere, the celebrated Highland five-piece perform their vividly evocative original score alongside a big-screen showing of Bruce’s captivating film, adapted from a traditional Scottish folk tale, with Gaelic/English narration by Margaret Bennett. Breabach also preview material from their eagerly-awaited seventh album, due in spring 2022, as they continue to hone and develop their music’s brilliantly dynamic dialogue between tradition and modernity.
More than two decades after their genesis amidst a late-night festival session, Beòlach still stand in the vanguard of Cape Breton tradition, enriching undimmed collective fire with seasoned maturity, as heard on their sizzling 2019 album All Hands. Three founding members - fiddlers and step-dancers Mairi Rankin and Wendy MacIsaac, and pianist/dancer Mac Morin, are now joined by Matt MacIsaac on pipes, whistles and guitar.

The stalls of the Main Hall and New Hall are equipped with induction loop systems, but operation is dependent on each individual event or performance, so provision can vary. Wheelchair access
Wheelchair access is from the Killermont Street entrance (North Entrance) only. From this entrance, there is Lift access to all levels.

Full table service is not available, food or drinks are ordered from the service counter. However, food and drinks can be brought to the table.
There is not a lowered section at the counter.
No tables are permanently fixed. No chairs are permanently fixed. Some chairs have armrests.
Drinking straws are available.
Menus are hand held and wall mounted. Menus are not available in Braille. Menus are not available in large print. Picture menus are not available.

Free wifi
Yes, there is free public Wifi access. To connect, visitors have to register with the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall Public Wifi which should pop up on their browser. After that visitors will only need their password for future uses.
