The punchy, driving sound of the Màrtainn Skene Dance Band is drawn from West Highland roots, a love of traditional pipe music and Gaelic song, and has been honed at dances and festivals throughout the UK and further afield in Europe. Accordionist Màrtainn will be joined by Moidart fiddle player Sarah-Jayne Shankland and multi-instrumentalists Colin Garvin on piano and Wullie Scott on drums.
Featuring Scotland’s best dance bands, you’re bound to have a ball at a Celtic Connections ceilidh! Get your dancing shoes on, take your partner by the hand and spin across the floor to your favourite tunes.
The age restriction for this event has changed - it is now over 14s only, under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
