Deservedly affirming the artistic triumph of their third album Bare Knuckle, Chris Stout and Catriona McKay were crowned Best Duo at 2018’s Radio 2 Folk Awards – just one highlight of another memorable year for the trailblazing fiddle/harp partnership, whose recent projects and collaborations are showcased by tonight’s line-up.

Guests include Scandinavian singing sensation Marthe Valle and her band; fellow Norwegian fiddle/harmonium duo Julie Alapnes and Halvard Rundberg; Irish traditional icon Séamus Begley, and Malinky vocalist Fiona Hunter, in a programme featuring the UK première of a custom-composed concerto for Stout and McKay, by genre-spanning Finnish legend Timo Alakotila.
