George Square hosts an exceptional collaboration between internationally renowned visual artist Douglas Gordon and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
Douglas Gordon curates a programme that responds to the rich heritage of George Square, as the civic heart of the city and where citizens gather for their collective voice to be heard, to bring a unique element that melds classical and contemporary sounds and voices for one night only. One of the cornerstones of the programme is a re-working for orchestration of a Mogwai composition entitled Music For A Forgotten Future (The Singing Mountain) which is to be performed live for the first time in George Square, alongside the debut of a specially written piece by Scotland's national makar Jackie Kay.
