Dallahan invite you to embark on a musical journey as they traverse styles and continents with their dazzling array of original songs. Forged in the Scottish and Irish folk scenes, the band have toured the world collecting influences, especially from traditional Eastern European and North American music. The result is a vibrant montage of jazz, funk and pop music which they call “World-folk”, expertly delivered by Jack Badcock on guitar and vocals, Ciaran Ryan on banjo, mandolin and fiddle, Andrew Waite on accordion and Benedict Morris on fiddle. Their third album, Smallworld, drew plaudits for songs that “bravely explore themes ranging from unrequited love to racial inequality”.

Stundom perform music with a distinctly Nordic edge. Rooted in the burgeoning folk scene of their native Denmark, they draw inspiration from the traditional dance music of their ancestors while embracing an array of classical and modern influences. Violinist Emma Elmøe and cittern-artist Villads Hoffmann originally played together as Elmøe & Hoffmann before teaming up with folk pianist, Julian Svejgaard Jørgensen and adopting the name Stundom in January 2020. Their self-titled EP, released later that year, consists of three tracks – each composed by one of the band members. Warm, melodic and achingly evocative, their music will enchant audiences at Celtic Connections.
