Aged 14 - 24 years and want to try something new or choose activities you know you love?
Drumchapel Open Award Centre offers The Duke of Edinburgh Award at all 3 levels; Bronze, Silver and Gold.
Each participant will complete 4 sections; Volunteering, Physical, Skill and Expedition.
You can choose what motivates you.
Timescales will vary dependant on level being completed.
Training is provided such as First Aid, Cooking, Camp Craft, Map Reading, Nutrition, 1-2-1 Mentoring.
Achieving the Award will give you skills, confidence and a view on life that everyone is looking for from employers to colleges and universities.
Free placements are available subject to criteria.

Accessible toilets
The accessible toilet is 18m (20yd) from the main entrance.
Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome. We can provide a bowl of water for an assistance dog.
Wheelchair access
There is a ramp leading to the library entrance.
Baby changing
Baby changing is located in the accessible toilet.
Baby feeding
Baby feeding is welcome in all Glasgow Life venues.
Parking
The venue does not have its own car park.
Photography and video recording
On occasion, Glasgow Life will be on the premises to film and take photos.
Study spaces
Study spaces can be found in the training suite and main library.
Free wifi
Wi-Fi is free by logging on via Glasgow Libraries - no password is required.
