Iain MacFarlane & Ingrid Henderson with Hecla & Friends

From deep in the heart of Lochaber, fiddler Iain MacFarlane and harpist/pianist Ingrid Henderson are also from two of the region’s leading musical families, growing up immersed in West Highland tradition. With a wealth of past experience including membership of Blazin’ Fiddles and Cliar, and each with a superb solo album to their credit, their duo combines vastly accomplished individual playing and richly harmonious rapport.

Adding their own contemporary sparkle to traditional Gaelic songs and tunes, up-and-coming trio Hecla met studying music at the UHI’s Uist campus, since when their line up of pipes, flute, fiddle, guitar and vocals has graced stages at Cambridge Folk Festival, HebCelt and Lorient.
