Born in North Borneo, to Scottish parents, John Beattie studied at the University of Glasgow where he gained a degree in Civil Engineering. In his illustrious sporting career, he played 25 times for Scotland at rugby and toured twice with the British Lions. Now a well-known sports commentator, journalist and presenter, John is a familiar voice on Radio Scotland. In conversation with fellow presenter, Theresa Talbot, John will be sharing the stories behind the books that have inspired, impressed and entertained him over the years.
