Dates and times

Friday 22 March 2019
6:00PM - 7:00PM
Due to unforeseen circumstances Kamal Ahmed’s event has been rescheduled to Friday 22 March at 6pm, taking place at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. The box office will be in touch via email with customers who have already booked tickets with more details and offered a refund if they can no longer attend this date.

Kamal Ahmed’ is currently editorial director of BBC News and one of the most respected journalists in the UK.

His childhood was very ‘British’ in every way – except for the fact that he was brown. Half English, half Sudanese, he was raised in the 1970s at a time when being mixed-race meant being told to go home, even when you were born just down the road.

The Life and Times of a Very British Man makes the case for a new conversation about race in Britain through personal stories, political analysis and passionate belief in the ultimate good of this country – white, black and brown.
