Three decades on from his debut album, Kieran Goss has long been one of Ireland’s best-loved musical entertainers, equally adept at touching the heart with an eloquent melody and lyric, or inducing audience hilarity with his celebrated onstage craic. His return to Celtic Connections marks the UK launch of Oh, the Starlings, Goss’s first duo album with Annie Kinsella. “One of Ireland's national treasures." (Irish Times) Recorded in New York with eight time Grammy winning engineer Kevin Killen (David Bowie, Peter Gabriel, U2, Elvis Costello) at the helm, 'Oh, The Starlings' has been described by songwriter Rodney Crowell as: "So good, it's heartbreaking… The record itself feels like an old friend."

With a voice alternately reminiscent of Stevie Nicks and Sheryl Crow, Gourock singer-songwriter Lynnie Carson, whose influences range from Joni Mitchell to John Grant, won a Danny Kyle Open Stage Award in 2018.
