Back by popular demand. A series of four separate eclectic, thought provoking talks by a poet, archivist, historian and author during October. Each talk will last one hour with Q&A, refreshments and a chance to meet the speaker.
5th October - Vicki Husband, poetry reading and talk to celebrate National Poetry Day.
12th October - Barbara Neilson, archivist talking about Tommy's War during WW1.
19th October - Ian Marshall, talking about the Mary Queen of Scots painting in the library and the battle of Langside.
26th October - Michael Meighan, Glasgow the great, the good and the generous.

Designed by Glasgow School of Art Students in the 1920’s, the twenty-one foot by seven foot mural for Langside Library was entitled ‘Queen Mary at the Battle of Langside’ and was official handed over to the Corporation of the City of Glasgow on the 6th January 1920.
