One of Sweden’s most accomplished and versatile fiddlers, Lena Jonsson is joined by guitarist Erik Ronström and bassist Kristofer "Krydda" Sundström, showcasing material from their award-winning 2021 album Stories from the Outside. Deeply rooted in her homeland’s rich fiddle heritage, Jonson has held the honorific Riksspelman (an official badge of mastery for Swedish folk musicians) since 2008, while her trio repertoire – centred on original compositions – also interweaves rock, pop, jazz, Celtic and Americana elements.

Following their debut performance during Celtic Connections online edition in 2021, Scottish trio LYRE LYRE (formally Lyre) return in person to launch their debut album. Uniting the talents of ex-Breabach fiddler Patsy Reid (also on viola and tenor guitar), Marit Fält on Nordic mandola and cellist Alice Allen, their winningly playful, melodic, groove-driven blend of traditional and original material draws on Scottish, Scandinavian and classical influences, catalysed by virtuoso musicianship and sparkling ensemble interplay.
