Big Ideas To Carry In Your Pocket
Liam Konemann, Arusa Qureshi and Katie Goh chaired by Peggy Hughes

10.30am – 11.30am BST*

404 Ink's new Inklings non-fiction series - big ideas to carry in your pocket - effectively asked authors one simple question: if you could write a book about one thing, what would it be? The result is eight titles covering a range of subjects from transphobia to reimagining higher education, deep dives into pop culture to experiences of sight loss. Each offers readers the chance to dip into subjects they perhaps have a curiosity for, some they may have never considered, all of which provoke thought.

Ahead of the series launch in summer 2021, a trio of Inklings authors will be coming to Aye Write to preview their work: Arusa Qureshi discussing Flip The Script, an exploration of the history and work of women in UK hip hop; Katie Goh, examining our fascination with the fictional apocalypse in The End, and why we turn to disaster in times of disaster; and Liam Konemann, whose project The Appendix began as a document of transphobia, and instead grew to focus on finding joy in transmasculinity, and holding onto it.

*This performance is pre-recorded and will be available to watch for three weeks after the broadcast date to accommodate different time zones.
