An afternoon of short talks in the Scottish Identity in Art gallery, looking at John Michael Wright's portrait of Lord Mungo Murray. Talks will focus on the artist John Michael Wright, the sitter, Scottish politics, Gaelic culture, the history of tartan, arms and armour, toxic masculinity, transatlantic slavery and what it means to be Scottish today.
