Neil Oliver is an archaeologist, conservationist and television presenter. He is best known as a presenter of several BBC historical and archaeological documentary series, including A History of Scotland, Vikings and Coast. 

Neil attended the University of Glasgow to study archaeology, then in 2017 he was appointed president of the National Trust for Scotland. He has written a number of books himself, most recently The Story of the British Isles in 100 Places,.

At this event he talks about the books that have shaped and inspired him.
