About Nora
Nora is dancers Eleanor Sikorski, Flora Wellesley Wesley and Stephanie McMann. They curate and dance together, inviting artists to make work for them to perform. In 2018 Nora worked with choreographer Deborah Hay creating a new work entitled Where Home Is. This summer Nora did an R&D with choreographer Eleanor Bauer. Dancing and writing together, they began generating material for a movie, NORA (the many). At DIG 19, they present Nora Invites Deborah Hay.

Previously a duo, Eleanor Sikorski and Flora Wellesley Wesley created Nora’s first evening length programme of work in 2015: Nora Invites Aggiss, Burrows, Fargion and Tanguy, which toured nationally and internationally between 2016 and 2017.

Nora is an ongoing dancer-led project which, aside from making performances, also consists of teaching, research, writing and advocacy. These are all means by which to question power structures, reshuffle hierarchies, and forefront the agency of dancers in the working environment. Visit for ongoing video and text blogs documenting Nora's research and to read about Nora's upcoming film series documenting dancers in conversation about their working lives.

Flora Wellesley Wesley biography
Flora Wellesley Wesley is a freelance performer who lives in London. Alongside making her own work she collaborates with a variety of choreographers, directors and visual artists on projects for screen, stage, and gallery and site-specific spaces.

As an independent artist she works intuitively and often whimsically, producing bold, exuberant and intimate multimodal work. Since 2017 she has been working on the umbrella project The Weather Inside, creating a body of work – live performances, photographs, films and writing – out of her interest in seasonality and mood(ness).

As a performer freelance projects have included: dancing for choreographers Simonetta Alessandri, Seke Chimutengwende, Florence Peake, Robbie Synge, Fernanda Muñoz-Newsome and Eva Recacha; working with visual artists Ed Fornieles, William Hunt and Eddie Peake; appearing in films by Grace Schwindt and live art works by Richard DeDomenici; acting in Lost Text/Found Space productions; and doing collaborative research with artists Kira O’Reilly, Guy Dartnell and Evy Jokhova.

Flora is a dancer and co-director of Nora alongside Eleanor Sikorski and Stephanie McMann.
