This workshop will explain how to make best use of free access to COBRA (Complete Business Reference Adviser) and premium market research resources such as ProQuest and Mint UK.
COBRA is an easy to use and clearly written online resource providing hundreds of small business idea guides as well as practical how-to factsheets. The guides cover everything from writing a Business or Marketing plan to highlighting relevant legislation. This workshop will guide you through the material offered by COBRA and demonstrate how you can best utilise the resource for starting up or expanding your business.
Also covered:
• Marketline reports. These reports provide industry profiles supplying key data and detailed analysis of market issues and trends. National and Global reports are available.
• ProQuest ABI/Inform, the industry standard database for business research, which provides access to full text journals and reports.

Parking
Please note that there is on-street surrounding The Mitchell Library, from 8am-6pm Monday to Friday this is metered. As this is also a local residential area, please use these spaces considerately. Alternatively, there is an a NCP Car Park on India Street next to Charing Cross Train Station which is a 2 minute walk away.

On occasion, Glasgow Life will be on the premises to film and take photos.
