Symphony, Soup and a Sandwich: Brahms Symphony No2

Detlev Glanert

Brahms-Fantasie, Heliogravure for Orchestra

Brahms

Symphony No2

Harish Shankar CONDUCTOR

Royal Scottish National Orchestra

It’s January in Glasgow, so let Johannes Brahms take you far away to a summer’s day, high in the Austrian Alps. That’s where he wrote his Second Symphony, and you can feel the warmth in every note: it’s music of sunlit vistas and melodies that have all the time in the world. German composer Detlev Glanert loves it too, and his very personal musical snapshot of Brahms helps set the mood. Escape from it all this lunchtime with the RSNO!

Lunch tickets sold separately.

Subscriptions on sale from Wednesday 14 March 2018. RSNO Circle members can priority book single tickets from Monday 23 April 2018. Single tickets on general sale from Wednesday 2 May 2018.
