Saint-Saëns' Organ Symphony

Reger Serenade
Reger An die Hoffnung
Saint-Saëns Symphony No3 Organ

Neeme Järvi Conductor

Sarah Connolly Mezzo-Soprano

Royal Scottish National Orchestra

There’s nothing quite like Saint-Saëns’ Third Symphony. The orchestra thunders, there’s a sudden silence, and then – with one mighty chord – the organ practically blows the roof off. Well, they call it the Organ Symphony for a reason, and it’ll be a showstopping return for a real RSNO legend, Neeme Järvi. True to form, he’s got a couple more surprises up his sleeve – and if you love Mahler and Elgar, you’re sure to enjoy the big-hearted music of Max Reger.
