Piano Sonata No23 Appassionata
Roman Rabinovich PIANO
When Roman Rabinovich isn’t astonishing the critics as an award-winning pianist, he’s a painter – and there’s an almost visual flair about his playing too. Every one of his recitals tells a story, and this one begins by placing the romantic Russian fairy tales of Nikolai Medtner next to the elegance and wit of Haydn’s playful 18th-century sonatas. Finally, Beethoven unleashes all his fantasy and fury in the famous Appassionata Sonata – and no-one plays it quite like Roman Rabinovich.
