Nicola Benedetti VIOLIN

No-one makes music come alive quite like Nicola Benedetti, and she’s passionate about bringing the new Violin Concerto by the young Liverpudlian composer Mark Simpson to Scotland. But that’s not all. There’s a musical voyage to St Kilda, a blaze of folk fiddle from rural Hungary, and to round it off, Bartók’s showstopping Concerto for Orchestra. It’s the ultimate work-out for a full symphony orchestra: 40 minutes of spicy tunes, glowing colours and untamed emotion, all crowned with a mighty shout of joy!
