Rachmaninov (orch Dumbraveanu)
Variations on a Theme of Corelli

Rachmaninov
Piano Concerto No1

Carlos Miguel Prieto CONDUCTOR

Boris Giltburg PIANO

It may not be a symphony, but who can resist hearing one of the world’s greatest living pianists performing Rachmaninov’s sparkling First Piano Concerto with the RSNO in your lunch hour? Gramophone magazine called Boris Giltburg’s recent Rachmaninov recording with the RSNO and Carlos Miguel Prieto ‘irresistible’, and there’s no mistaking their chemistry. There’s even a starter too: Rachmaninov’s moody and magnificent Corelli Variations.
