Talisk gigs “start off at a gallop and speed up from there” according to Folk Radio – so music-lovers are in for an explosive session. Having scooped the Danny Kyle Award shortly after forming in 2014, the Glasgow-based band have become Celtic Connections favourites. Together, concertina-player Mohsen Amini, guitarist Graeme Armstrong and new fiddle-playing addition Benedict Morris have won numerous accolades for their energetic yet artfully-woven sound. Two albums up (Abyss and Beyond), they’ve toured the world and are now back to storm Celtic Connections with their adventurous take on traditional music.

“It’s trad folk all right, but not as you know it” The Wee Review

Multi-award-winners JigJam bring their unique blend of traditional Irish music, Bluegrass and Americana to Celtic Connections. Coupling onstage energy with virtuosic musical ability, this Irish quintet have captivated audiences around the world with their foot-stomping live performances.
