Adopting and expanding a popular format from Glasgow’s Piping Live! festival, this lavish multi-national line-up curate by Finlay MacDonald brings together pipes and pipers from five Celtic regions. Cape Breton’s Matt MacIsaac, accompanied by pianist Mac Morin, works regularly with Natalie MacMaster, while Galician gaita firebrand Anxo Lorenzo is renowned for genre-spanning innovation. A formidable home team includes Ross Ainslie, Brighde Chaimbeul, Finlay MacDonald and uilleann piper Calum Stewart. Brittany’s Enora Morice, currently a member of the Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia Pipe Band, performs here with her father Philippe on bombarde. With a house band including Ross Martin, Steven Blake and Stevie Byrnes, solo and duo sets will culminate in an electrifying mass finale.
