The Glasgow School of Art Summer Concert
Join the GSA Choir in May 2018 in the superb surroundings of the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall's New Auditorium for The Glasgow School of Art Summer Concert, featuring a selection of choral works from the 19th, 20th and 21st Centuries.
The programme for this concert will feature the world première performance of “The Unspoken” by Scottish composer, Jay Capperauld, with lyrics by Scotland's first Makar, Edwin Morgan (1920 - 2010). The piece was commissioned by the ensemble in 2017 and was supported by the Buy a Bar of Music Campaign.
The remainder of the programme will contain a series of complementary works from 19th Century onwards - including pieces by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Camille Saint-Saëns and Francis Poulenc - showcasing the choral tradition of the past 200 years.
