In the short space of 19 weeks between December 2018 and May 2019 the traditional music community in Scotland lost three of the finest individual and influential voices in the country - Anne Neilson, Gordeanna McCulloch and Maureen Jelks.

Floo’ers o’ the Fairest is a tribute to them and the enormous contribution they made to traditional music in Scotland and beyond. Revisiting their songs and music will be Stramash, The Clutha, Aileen Carr, Barbara Dymock, Gillian Frame, Sheena Wellington, Jo Miller, Brian Miller, Iain Young, Fiona Hunter, Robyn Stapleton, Chris Miles, Cy Laurie, Ryan Young, Jenn Butterworth, Craig Muirhead and Adam McCulloch.

The cast aims to celebrate the threesome’s long-term connections with the Traditional Music and Song Association of Scotland (TMSA), love of the big ballads - which led Anne and Gordeanna to co-found the Glasgow Ballad Workshop - and the enjoyment, fun and friendship they shared with so many over the years.

Join us in remembering and honouring the legacy of these three remarkable doyennes of Scottish traditional music.
