Would you like to know more about what Glasgow Museums can offer for older people’s groups?
Come along for this special behind the scenes visit to Glasgow Museums Resource Centre, our museum store. The visit will include a tour of this vast building with rooms full of fantastic objects, from animals to armour, fine art to fossils, and much, much more.
We will also offer training on running reminiscence with your group and an induction to the Open Museum kit stores, which will enable you to borrow our vast array of reminiscence and handling kits. (Please note only groups who work within the Glasgow City Council boundaries can borrow these kits)
These training days are aimed at people working with older people’s groups in Glasgow. The training is open to care staff, managers and volunteers.
Tea and coffee will be available.
Both days will be held at Glasgow Museums Resource Centre. You can find out more about the venue by clicking here.
We offer free parking and are a short walk from Nitshill railway station.
Sessions take place on:
Tuesday 25th September 10-12.30pm
Tuesday 30th October 10-12.30pm
