Each week we bring out items from our rich and varied collections which reflect world events, social conditions, technological advancements and cultural change across the globe. Join us for a half hour opportunity to see and talk to staff about our fascinating collections.
We’re marking the Tour de France by showcasing material on all things cycling. Come and see items on King of the Mountains Robert Miller, Graeme Obree and other high profile cyclists from Scotland. We’ll also be displaying material on bike design including some adverts for electronic bikes from 1912. Bringing it right up to date will be material on the BMX track in Knightswood which will be a venue for the 2018 European Championships.
This material is available on Level 4 of The Mitchell Library.
