A celebration of printing and making, Printshop! returns to Tramway for three weeks.
Printshop! is both an exhibition of collaborative work by Edwin Pickstone and Claire Barclay, and a functioning studio for visitors to participate in artist-led print. An investigation of the textual and print qualities of the back streets, city advertising hoardings, lanes and alleys provides a setting for introductory print workshops in screenprinting, cyanotype, bookbinding and letterpress. Through the act of printing and reprinting, the gallery becomes a site for the production and display of print.
As part of the studio nature of Printshop! there is the opportunity to work with a range of artists to make prints using a variety of printing techniques. Free and no need to book.

27 & 28 July 1– 4pm - Cyanotype/sun printing (limited capacity, you may have to wait a short while to take your turn)
3 & 4 August, 1-4pm - Screen Printing (drop-in)
10 & 11 August, 1-4pm - Bookbinding (drop-in)
