For the last few years the Traditional Music Department of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland has squeezed into every corner of the Strathclyde Suite stage to perform exhilarating programmes of new music to sold-out audiences.  The ever-changing 40-strong cast of talented young professionals, working under the guidance of Musical Director Jenn Butterworth (nominated for BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards Musicians of the Year), work intensively for ten days before the festival kicks off to devise and prepare a show from scratch.  This year they’re taking a step forward; moving to the beautiful City Halls, where they can spread their wings a little further, and draw on influences from some special guest collaborators.
