Your guide to Glasgow Life's online offer

Like many other charities, the work which Glasgow Life carries out in every part of the city has changed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Following the Scottish Government's extension to the lockdown, our services and venues will remain closed and nearly all of our staff are working from home.

However, throughout these uncertain times, we will continue to support the people of Glasgow because we believe it’s our duty to ensure you remain connected to the places, experiences, collections and to the city that we all love and call home.

The response to our new Glasgow Life Goes On campaign has been tremendous and demonstrates just how much people value the range of services we deliver.

Across Glasgow Life, our teams are working hard behind the scenes to make more of our much-loved programmes and activities available online while also doing everything they can to ensure we’re ready to reopen our doors and welcome you back into our venues as soon as it’s safe to do so.

We've rounded up our Glasgow Life online offer below and over the coming weeks we’ll be continuing to add new content, but we also want to hear directly from you about how you’re interacting with our services; so please tell us on social media using the hashtag #GlasgowLifeGoesOn.

Glasgow Sport

One of the few things that hasn’t changed recently is the recipe for feeling good. At Glasgow Club we know if you can be active and seek out opportunities to keep moving, you will.

That’s why we've teamed up with our partners at Les Mills and Metafit to bring you free access to online work outs, plus our team of fitness experts are coming up with new ways to help everyone keep feeling part of the Glasgow Club, starting with a range of home workout videos which don’t need any equipment.

We’ve also put some tips and resources together to help you keep on top of your mental wellbeing, along with some Yoga and Pilates sessions to help ease tension and stress during these challenging times. There's lots of advice for families on how to keep active with your kids indoors too. We want to help you keep the fitness you’ve worked hard to gain and encourage you if you’re just getting started.

Glasgow Museums

Millions of people enjoy our museums, taking part in activities, listening to talks and learning more about our amazing collection. While our venues are temporarily closed we're working hard to create online versions of some of the fun activities and engaging programmes you normally do inside a Glasgow Museum. Every day, Monday to Friday, we'll share an object, story, picture or creative idea on our social channels.

Glasgow Arts, Music and Cultural Venues

Our arts, music and cultural venues are home to some of the city's biggest festivals, exhitbitions and performances, with artists from all over the world gracing their stages.

While our venues are temporarily closed, we'll be taking a look at what makes these spaces so special by sharing images and videos from previous events, showcasing our brilliant Creative Communities' Artist in Residence project, keeping you up-to-date with rescheduled and upcoming events and sharing news and work from our friends, partners, regular contributors and the wider cultural community in Glasgow.
