Glasgow's Learning

Glasgow Communities offer free adult literacy and numeracy learning in local venues throughout Glasgow for adults who would like support with reading, writing, spelling, and numbers.

Tutors and learners work together to set up Individual Learning Plans tailored to learners’ interests and needs, using everyday materials and resources. Learners may have the option to work towards SQA awards at Level 2 and 3.

Literacy and numeracy support is tutored in small groups and trained volunteers are available at some of the venues to support individual learners. Most learners also benefit from increased confidence in their personal, work, family and community lives.

This service is free of charge for all adults in Glasgow who are 16 years of age and over.

If you or someone you know could benefit from some help with reading, writing or numbers and you would like to find out more please call us free on 0800 027 6402.
