There is a wide range of cancer support in Glasgow

Cancer Support Scotland

Cancer Support Scotland provide emotional and practical support on a one-to-one basis and through community-based groups to anyone affected by cancer including family, friends and carers.

They offer a variety of counselling and complementary therapies before, during and after treatment. Their services include talking therapy (counselling), chiropody, deep tissue massage, reiki, reflexology (including facial reflexology), Indian head massage, stress management and aromatherapy.

They also bring people together in community support groups and, working in partnership with other organisations, have outreach centres to serve people in their own areas covering most of Scotland.

Local digital health and care directory

Glasgow residents are now being offered a simpler way to find local health and support services online through a new collaboration between NHS 24, Macmillan Cancer Support and the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (The Alliance).

Entitled Scotland's Services Directory, the digital service will collate local quality-assured health and care services all in one website. In addition to NHS services, the directory also provides information on a full range of health and wellbeing services, including advice on how to stay active, cancer services and money advice. The directory is being made available available on NHS Inform, Scotland's national health information website at
