Leonardo for Schools & Teachers

For Secondary Schools

Discover your inner genius in this interdisciplinary workshop!  Secondary students will investigate the life and works of Leonardo Da Vinci; inventor, artist, scientist and polymath.

Students will discuss and record the themes of Leonardo’s work in an inspiring gallery tour, whilst making their own annotated sketches.

In a fast paced, competitive, studio environment, students will express themselves using a range of art, design, and sculpture techniques. They will produce work inspired by botanical specimens, anatomical skeletons, and taxidermy objects.

Studio activities include botanical badge making, mono printing and mapping contours of the land, using quill and ink to communicate inventions of the future, and sculpting a small scale human or animal head.
