Burrell at Kelvingrove

You don’t have to wait until 2021 to see some of the stunning objects from the collection. A series of free exhibitions at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museums allows you to enjoy highlights of the collection while the museum is closed.

The exhibition currently on display is Burrell at Kelvingrove: Collecting Chinese Treasures, which will run until Spring 2020.  Here you can see some of the wonderful porcelain, bronze and Jade from the Chinese Dynastic periods collected by Sir William Burrell, including Tang Dynasty tomb guardian figures, elaborate forms of ritual bronzes that are more than 2,500 years old and a rare Ming Dynasty blue-and-white tankard.

The exhibition is on display in the Discovering Art Gallery on the ground floor of Kelvingrove Museum.
