Pupils from six schools in the city will perform at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall between November and December as part of the venue’s Music Café concerts.

The young musicians will play a selection of music that they have chosen along with their tutors especially for these performances.

Notre Dame High School perform on 1 November, Hyndland Secondary School on 29 November, Drumchapel High School on 6 December, Govan High School on 13 December, St Andrews RC Secondary School on 18 December and Port Glasgow High School on 20 December.

Pupils from fifteen Scottish secondary schools in total will take part in the latest series of Music Café, with all performances taking place on selected dates between 1 – 2pm in the Exhibition Hall at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. The series ends on 20 December. All concerts are free to attend.

This will be the 7th series of the Music Café.

Julie Ballantyne, Principal Teacher Music at Port Glasgow High School, said: 

We’re delighted to be part of Music Café. Port Glasgow High School Music Department's performance will feature a wide variety of vocal and instrumental solos along with songs from the wind band.”
