To improve the tender process for buyers and suppliers, we use Public Contracts Scotland​. Please note all suppliers will be required to register (free) on this website.

Section 19 of the Procurement Reform (Scotland) Act 2014 requires a contracting authority to publish its procurement strategy on the internet.

Glasgow Life's procurement strategy sets out how it intends to ensure that its procurement activity delivers value for money and contributes to the achievement of the broader aims and objectives in line with Scotland's National Outcomes.

Supplier Development Programme (SDP)

We would like to draw potential supplier’s attention to the Supplier Development Programme, a Scotland-wide initiative that assists small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and third sector organisations improve their performance in winning public sector contracts. The SDP supports businesses to compete for the £9b of Scottish public sector spend by offering FREE advice, support, training and events covering all aspects of tendering to improve their knowledge and competency.

The programme provides support to businesses in 3 main ways:

  • Raising awareness of the opportunities for SMEs and third sector organisations from the public sector.
  • Increasing business readiness to tender.
  • Assisting SMEs and third sector organisations in accessing tender opportunities.
