2025 Equalities Monitoring Survey results
Thank you to everyone who participated in our first Equalities Monitoring Survey earlier this year. Since the survey closed, we’ve been working hard to compile the results and share them with you. In this short video, EDI Steering Group member, Johanna Maciver, takes us through the full results.
Survey breakdown
960 colleagues completed the survey, and 35 more responded, telling us they didn’t want to complete it. This resulted in a response rate of nearly 40% of our workforce, which is fantastic. It also means that we got more responses than we needed to be statistically representative of Glasgow Life’s workforce.
The survey results have provided us with an accurate and up-to-date picture of who our colleagues are. This enables us to take proactive steps to enhance our workplace for everyone.
We used the same questions as the 2021 Census. This means we can compare the survey results directly with Glasgow’s population. The table below shows this comparison for some key demographics:
Glasgow Life survey | Glasgow Census | |
Ethnicity: minoritised ethnic group | 5% | 19% |
Disability | 17% | 26% |
LGB+ | 15% | 7% |
Religion/belief | 42% | 50% |
Next year, we hope to increase our baseline response rate of 40% and reach even more colleagues with the survey.
If you have any questions or would like to find out more, please contact equalities@glasgowlife.org.uk.
Thank you to everyone who took part.
Full survey results
The tables below show the organisational-level results for each equalities monitoring question. Unless otherwise stated, all categories reached the minimum number of responses needed for statistical disclosure controls. This prevents the data analysis from identifying individuals.
Please notethat the percentage values in the tables may not always sum exactly to 100%. This is due to rounding.
