Phase 2, Ward 10, Lost and Found
As part of Glasgow Life’s Creative Communities Artists in Residence programme for Ward 10, Anderston/City, Donna Rutherford delivered a reflective project working with 18–24 year-olds from the area, including members of GoMA Youth Group. This project carried on themes developed in Phase 1, Artist in Residence.
Through a series of walk-and-talk sessions, Donna recorded audio interviews that explored young people's personal experiences of lockdown, including what they lost, what they discovered, and their hopes for the future. These themed conversations were complemented by written workshops and collaborative visual responses.
Donna attended online meetings, including (Y)our City Centre planning meetings, to better understand future developments in the ward. The project amplified the voices of young people in a rapidly changing city centre and explored how art can help process collective memory and change.
