Phase 4, South Community Planning Partnership Area

As part of Glasgow Life’s Artists in Communities programme in the South Community Planning Partnership Area, Ando Glaso Collective worked with Glasgow’s Roma communities to celebrate and share Roma culture and heritage.

Through a series of development sessions, rehearsals, and recordings, the project supported participants in exploring traditional Roma music and dance. These creative activities offered a platform for expression, well-being, and visibility, particularly for communities often facing marginalisation.

Ando Glaso Collective also provided opportunities for public engagement through performances and workshops, opening access to Roma culture across the city. Ando Glaso Collective collaborated with fellow Artists in Communities, The Glasgow Barons, uniting Roma artists from Romanian, Slovak, Czech, Hungarian and Polish backgrounds with a live classical orchestra for an intercultural performance.

A special thanks to community partners, supporters and contributors.
