Glasgow Life Artists in Communities

Glasgow Life Artists in Communities is a programme which aims to transform lives through engagement and participation in creative and cultural activity, in local communities across the city.

The areas that Glasgow Life Artists in Communities work in is informed by the three Glasgow Community Planning Partnership areas (CPPs) – that’s the North West, North East and South – with the opportunity for artists in each area to collaborate, and sharing knowledge: The programme also aims to support, connect and inspire the artists we commission.

Some of the Artists in Communities gather for a welcome workshop, many holding items associated with their community projects

The latest phase of the programme commissioned 15 artists and arts organisations to deliver creative opportunities in different areas of Glasgow from Winter 2022 to Autumn 2023. The diverse range of projects included visual art, music, film making, storytelling, community events, poetry and more besides; activity was directed by local needs and priorities.
