About the event

Glasgow Mela 2025

What to expect

Across two stages – Navras and Hamara – expect a bold and eclectic line-up spanning Bhangra, Bharatanatyam, hip-hop, alt-rock, qawwali, folk, jazz, soul, Indian classical and electronic crossover.

Emerging talent takes centre stage with performances from Theiya Arts Youth Group, exploring joy and identity through Bollywood and Bharatanatyam; RCS Ensemble, presenting a Hindustani classical recital; and the rhythm-rich Tabla Alba, who showcase the beauty of Pakhawaj, tabla and harmonium.

On the Hamara stage, Raj Mahal brings his jazz-punk lyrical fusion, alongside soulful classical artists like Amrit Kaur, Rhiannon Ledwell & Mannav Singh, Devi, and Pakistani qawwali group Khan Brothers.

Headline acts on the Navras Stage include Shin from DCS, global Bhangra star Lehmber Hussainpuri, Tamil-British R&B artist Pritt, Instagram viral sensation Saloni, Glasgow’s own GTown Desi, and Scottish folk trio Reely Jiggered, who team up with Pakistani sitar maestro Rakae Jamil for a unique cross-cultural collaboration.

This milestone year for Glasgow Mela will be a celebration of cultural pride, shared histories, and contemporary expression, all set to an unforgettable soundtrack.
