To Kill the President by Sam Bourne
“To Kill the President” by Sam Bourne, is our book of the month and has received many positive reviews as being one of the best thrillers in 2018. This book is a very plausible and well written political thriller in which the United States have elected an unpredictable demagogue as president. Although a catastrophe seems to have been avoided in the first chapter, the fear regarding this irrational man and his extreme actions lead to an insider plot to kill the president. This conspiracy is spotted by the Irish diplomat Maggi Costello, who faces a crucial moral dilemma on whether she should save the president, but leave the free world at the mercy of this would be tyrant, or say nothing and suffer the consequences.
A really good read.
