Taking objects into communities
We take objects from the museum collections so that they can be enjoyed by everyone. In particular, we work with communities who may find it difficult to visit our museum venues.
The Open Museum’s travelling displays tour to the heart of communities all over the city, including libraries and local shopping centres.
There are over 20 displays full of museum objects in circulation.
These displays can be a fun focus for events, workshops, language classes, homework clubs and holiday programme.
