Reserve and Renew Books

Search The Catalogue

We've recently upgraded our Glasgow Libraries online catalogue and we hope that you will enjoy using all the new features as they become available. When you visit the new catalogue for the first time you need to upgrade your library card to an Arena account. To do this, log in using your existing library card number and PIN. You will then see within the pink portlet a 'create username' tab - by clicking on this tab you will be able to create an Arena account. This allows you to access all features of the catalogue including creating a new wish list for keeping a track of all your favourites that you've still to read or re-read!

Glasgow Libraries online catalogue contains records of all Community Libraries stock and Mitchell Library material acquired since 1970 (irrespective of date). It also lists Glasgow Collection material acquired since 1877.

View your personal record by logging in with your library card number and PIN. You can then renew and reserve online, check what you have out on loan and any overdues and reservations. You can search the catalogue without logging in.

The Mitchell Library has a number of card and fiche catalogues which list older material, as well as various in-house finding aids. The online catalogue does not list newspapers or magazines held in The Mitchell Library - these are listed separately in The Periodicals Catalogue which can be found in each department.

Please remember to ask the staff if you need help to find material, especially in The Mitchell Library.
