Although renowned for its reference collections and Family History Centre, The Mitchell Library also houses a lending library where visitors can browse - or borrow books, DVDs and CDs if they have a library card. Located on the Ground Floor of The Library, Leisure and Lifestyle @ The Mitchell is a relaxing and comfortable space close by The Herald Cafe. Library staff are always on hand and happy to help you make the most out of your visit.

You can apply for a Glasgow Kidz Card and Young Scot Card at Leisure and Lifestyle @ the Mitchell!
With the Glasgow Kidz Card anyone aged 5 to 11, living or attending school within the Glasgow City Council boundary, can obtain the card free of charge and enjoy discounts around Glasgow including free simming, films and more. Click here for more information.
